Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physician specializing in General Surgery for a 21-day assignment in North Carolina, starting May 9, 2026. This role involves 24-hour weekend call, managing an average of 7-8 patients daily, 1-2 admissions per day or night, and performing approximately 50 surgical cases monthly. Key procedures include appendectomies, strangulated hernias, cholecystectomies, and other emergency surgeries.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide 24-hour weekend call coverage.
  • Not required to remain on-site while on call.
  • Manage an average of 7-8 patients per day.
  • Handle an average of 1-2 admissions per day.
  • Handle an average of 1-2 admissions per night.
  • Perform approximately 50 surgical cases per month.
  • Does not respond to codes.
  • Does not serve as back up in the ER.
  • Perform procedures including appendectomy, strangulated hernias, cholecystectomy, I&Ds, and other emergency procedures.
