Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide 24-hour call coverage, including weekends
- Round on 3 to 10 patients daily
- Manage new surgical consults (0 to 3 per shift)
- Respond to cases involving gallbladder, hernia, bowel obstruction, and appendix
- Deliver timely and effective patient care during call shifts
Additional Information
- Must hold a Nebraska medical license
- Required board certification: General Surgery
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
- Call backs are infrequent
