Responsibilities and Duties
Provide 24-hour call coverage, including weekends
Round on 3 to 10 patients daily
Manage new surgical consults (0 to 3 per shift)
Respond to cases involving gallbladder, hernia, bowel obstruction, and appendix
Deliver timely and effective patient care during call shifts
Additional Information
Must hold a Nebraska medical license
Required board certification: General Surgery
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
Call backs are infrequent
