We are seeking a board-certified General Surgeon for a 9-day locum tenens assignment in New Mexico, starting Nov 9, 2025. This opportunity features low case volumes, a blend of clinic and OR duties, and 24-hour call coverage on weeknights and weekends. The schedule includes three days in clinic and two days in the OR, with daytime hours and a supportive environment for experienced surgeons.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Perform general surgery procedures, including both upper and lower scopes as the majority of cases
  • Provide patient care in both clinic and operating room settings
  • Manage inpatient and outpatient surgical cases as required
  • Take 24-hour call during the assignment, including overnight and weekend coverage
  • Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to clinical protocols

Additional Information
  • Active New Mexico medical license required
  • Must have a clean background for temporary privileges and submission must include NPDB report
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
  • Board certification in General Surgery required
  • No flexibility on assignment dates
