 We are seeking a skilled General Surgeon for a locum tenens position in New York. This 90-day assignment requires coverage for 10-15 days per month, Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 6 PM, starting from 07/07/2025. The surgeon will primarily focus on breast surgeries, including mastectomies and lumpectomies, as well as conducting follow-up appointments for normal breast services. This opportunity offers a chance to work in a specialized surgical environment, providing critical care to patients with breast-related conditions.

LOA: 90 days (with potential for extension)

Provider Type Needed: General Surgeon specializing in breast surgery

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 6 PM (10-15 days per month)

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform mastectomies and lumpectomies

• Conduct surgery follow-ups for normal breast services

• Evaluate patients and determine appropriate surgical interventions

• Develop and implement treatment plans for breast-related conditions

• Collaborate with oncologists and other specialists in patient care

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

• Communicate effectively with patients and their families about procedures and care plans

• Adhere to all surgical protocols and safety standards

• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed

• Stay updated on the latest techniques and advancements in breast surgery

• Ensure proper post-operative care and follow-up

• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives in the surgical department

Additional Information:

• Must be licensed in New York

• Board certification in General Surgery required
