Job Description
We are seeking a board-certified General Surgeon for a 16-day locum tenens assignment in Vermont beginning Dec 9, 2025. This opportunity features 24-hour out-of-house call coverage, delivery responsibilities, and patient rounding, with the provider stationed within 30 minutes of the hospital.Job Details

Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide 24-hour out-of-house call coverage for surgical services
- Conduct deliveries and patient rounding as required
- Remain within 30 minutes of the hospital while on call
- Respond promptly to call requests and emergencies
- Utilize Meditech EHR for patient documentation and workflow
Additional Information
- Active Vermont medical license required
- No malpractice history
- Board certification in Surgery required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
- Minimum a few years post-residency experience strongly preferred
- Must be comfortable managing both upper and lower surgical cases
