Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide 24-hour call coverage for surgical services
  • Respond to 3-5 phone consults per shift
  • Admit and manage 3-5 new patients per shift
  • Oversee care for 5-10 patients per shift
  • Handle a full spectrum of general surgery cases as required
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure continuity of care

Additional Information
  • Must have an active and unrestricted West Virginia medical license
  • Board certification in Surgery required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) certifications required
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience necessary
  • Assignment to begin as soon as credentialing is completed, with ongoing needs anticipated
