Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide 24-hour call coverage for surgical services
- Respond to 3-5 phone consults per shift
- Admit and manage 3-5 new patients per shift
- Oversee care for 5-10 patients per shift
- Handle a full spectrum of general surgery cases as required
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure continuity of care
Additional Information
- Must have an active and unrestricted West Virginia medical license
- Board certification in Surgery required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience necessary
- Assignment to begin as soon as credentialing is completed, with ongoing needs anticipated
