 We are seeking a skilled Geriatric Physician for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Arkansas, starting 06/16/2025. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive geriatric care, focusing on preventative medicine and managing a diverse patient panel. The work schedule involves seeing patients from 8:30 AM to 4:20 PM. The physician should be comfortable handling standard geriatric cases, including high-risk, emerging-risk, and low-risk patients. This role requires a tech-savvy, organized professional with experience in geriatrics and a commitment to quality patient care. The primary goal is to maintain the health of the patient panel and reduce hospital admissions. This position offers the possibility of extension and utilizes the eClinicalWorks EMR system.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:20 PM (last patient seen)


Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide comprehensive geriatric care to a diverse patient panel

• Manage high-risk (15-20%), emerging-risk (10-20%), and low-risk (70-80%) cases

• Focus on preventative medicine to reduce hospital admissions

• Conduct thorough patient examinations and develop appropriate treatment plans

• Accurately code and chart patient encounters using eClinicalWorks EMR

• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

• Stay updated on current geriatric care practices and guidelines

• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Utilize technology effectively in patient care and documentation

• Adapt to the specific needs of the geriatric patient population
