Job Description

We are seeking a Geriatrician for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Nov 24, 2025. This role features a Monday through Friday full-time schedule and focuses on all-inclusive care for older adults, primarily serving underserved and Medicaid populations in a PACE setting with low patient volume and substantial paperwork.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide comprehensive care for patients aged 55 and older within a PACE program
  • Complete paperwork and administrative tasks as a significant part of daily duties
  • Deliver care to a predominantly underserved population, including a high proportion of Medicaid participants
  • Collaborate with Spanish-speaking medical assistants and translators to serve a largely Spanish-speaking patient base
  • Ensure compliance with California DEA and furnishing license requirements
  • Maintain high standards of patient care in accordance with geriatric medicine best practices

Additional Information
  • Locum experience is required
  • Prior work in FQHC, rural health, or IHS settings is preferred
  • Recent experience in a geriatric care setting is mandatory; urgent care, internal medicine, or pediatrics experience will not be accepted
  • Active California DEA and furnishing license required
  • Board certification in Geriatric Medicine required
