Job Description

We are seeking a board-certified Internal Medicine or Family Practice Physician with geriatrics experience for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Massachusetts, starting Jan 5, 2026. This full-time opportunity features a Monday through Friday schedule and involves providing comprehensive care to a frail or elderly population.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Conduct history and physicals on new participants, and perform event-based and periodic reassessments
  • Develop medical treatment plans and provide medically necessary services
  • Interview and evaluate applicants to the PACE Organization
  • Discuss medical conditions and prognosis with participants and caregivers
  • Collaborate in the nursing treatment program
  • Participate as a member of the PACE Organization interdisciplinary team
  • Educate participants and families regarding care and treatment
  • Supervise the health care and treatment program
  • Perform physical examinations, and order and evaluate diagnostic tests

Additional Information
  • Current and active plenary physician license to practice in Massachusetts required
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice required; Board Certification in Geriatrics preferred
  • DEA Registration and Controlled Substances Registration required
  • Minimum of one year experience working with a frail or elderly population required
  • Previous supervisory experience required
  • Experience or added qualifications in geriatrics preferred
