We are seeking a skilled Physician specializing in Geriatrics for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Nevada, starting June 16, 2025. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care for a diverse patient panel, focusing on preventative medicine and hospital avoidance. This role requires expertise in managing high-risk (15-20%), emerging risk (10-20%), and low-risk (70-80%) geriatric cases. The physician should be tech-savvy, organized, and proficient with eClinicalWorks EMR. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with patients seen from 8:30 AM to 4:20 PM. This opportunity offers the potential for extension beyond the initial assignment period.


Job Details: 

Location: Nevada 

Start Date: June 16, 2025 

LOA: 60 days 

Provider Type Needed: Physician specializing in Geriatrics 

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM


Job Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide comprehensive geriatric care for a diverse patient panel 

• Manage high-risk, emerging risk, and low-risk geriatric cases 

• Focus on preventative medicine and hospital avoidance strategies 

• Conduct thorough patient examinations and develop appropriate treatment plans 

• Accurately code and chart patient encounters using eClinicalWorks EMR 

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes 

• Stay current with best practices in geriatric medicine and preventative care 

• Demonstrate strong communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare team members 

• Maintain a patient-centered approach to care, taking time to address individual needs


Additional Information: 

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in Nevada 

• Experience in geriatrics and preventative medicine required 

• Proficiency with eClinicalWorks EMR system preferred 

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail essential 

• Ability to adapt to new environments and work efficiently in a contract role
