Job Description

Barton is seeking a Physician Assistant specializing in Gynecology for a 48-day locum tenens assignment in Maryland, starting Dec 8, 2025. This role features 10-hour day shifts for 4 days per week, covering inpatient GYN consults and outpatient clinic responsibilities. The assignment focuses on acute and chronic gynecological care only, with no obstetrical deliveries required.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide inpatient GYN coverage and consults
  • Manage acute and chronic gynecological conditions, including complications during pregnancy and postpartum
  • Treat a range of women's health issues in both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Conduct morning and evening rounds (2 hours total) plus 8 hours of outpatient clinic on Wednesdays
  • Deliver care without performing deliveries or routine obstetric management beyond diagnosis and early pregnancy management

Additional Information

  • Active Maryland license required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
  • Women's Healthcare Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) board certification preferred
  • Experience in inpatient and outpatient gynecology strongly desired
