Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner specializing in Hematology/Oncology for a locum tenens position at a hospital in New York. This 13-day assignment begins on 01/02/2026, with potential for extension. The ideal candidate will work 12.5-hour day shifts, providing comprehensive care for inpatient hematology and oncology patients. Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide comprehensive care for inpatient hematology and oncology patients
• Assess, diagnose, and manage care for patients with various types of cancer and blood disorders
• Prescribe and monitor chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments
• Promote health and disease prevention strategies
• Collaborate with the supervising physician and multidisciplinary team
• Utilize Epic EMR system for patient documentation and care coordination
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hematology and oncology best practices
• Ensure patient safety and quality of care throughout the treatment process
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed to practice in New York
• Experience with inpatient hematology/oncology services required
