Job Description

 We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner specializing in Hematology/Oncology for a locum tenens position at a hospital in New York. This 13-day assignment begins on 01/02/2026, with potential for extension. The ideal candidate will work 12.5-hour day shifts, providing comprehensive care for inpatient hematology and oncology patients. Responsibilities include chemotherapy and biotherapy prescribing, patient assessment, diagnosis, health promotion, and disease management. Proficiency in Epic EMR is required.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide comprehensive care for inpatient hematology and oncology patients

• Assess, diagnose, and manage care for patients with various types of cancer and blood disorders

• Prescribe and monitor chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments

• Promote health and disease prevention strategies

• Collaborate with the supervising physician and multidisciplinary team

• Utilize Epic EMR system for patient documentation and care coordination

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hematology and oncology best practices

• Ensure patient safety and quality of care throughout the treatment process


Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice in New York

• Experience with inpatient hematology/oncology services required
