Job Description

We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in Missouri. This 100-day opportunity starts on Aug 25, 2025, and involves night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, three to four days per week. The role requires experience with bone marrow transplants and biopsies, as well as stem cell infusions, and includes duties such as patient rounding, managing patient panels, and consults from the ER.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Perform bone marrow biopsies and manage stem cell infusions (preferred but not required)
  • Round on patients alongside physicians
  • Manage a panel of patients, monitoring their progress and adjusting treatments as necessary
  • Provide consults from the emergency room
  • Write progress notes and manage patient documentation
  • Work closely with the inpatient team as patients transition from the clinic to inpatient care

Additional Information
  • Must be licensed in Missouri
  • Experience with Epic EMR systems is advantageous
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Ability to handle a high patient volume and complex cases
