Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Hematology/Oncology Physician Assistant for an engaging 72-day assignment in Washington, commencing May 6, 2026. This vital role involves working 8-hour shifts within a cancer center, where you will manage a caseload of 12-16 patients daily, focusing on established cases. You will provide essential in-person care, collaborating closely with an oncology RN and a part-time tele-oncologist to deliver comprehensive patient support.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide in-person care within a clinic-based cancer center, working alongside an oncology RN.
  • Collaborate with a part-time tele-oncologist for patient care and have access to providers at a main Cancer Center for additional support.
  • Manage a daily patient load of 12 to 16 individuals.
  • Allocate 30-minute visits for established patients.
  • Oversee approximately 50% of patients on active treatment protocols.
  • Primarily see established patients, with occasional new referrals divided between locations.
  • Work with new patients who are typically seen by a physician first, unless comfortable handling new consults.
  • Utilize full lab services available on site for all laboratory needs.
