Job Description

We are seeking a board-certified Hematologist/Oncologist for a 10-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Dec 1, 2025. This full-time opportunity features Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm day shifts, and focuses on both hematology and oncology cases in a predominantly outpatient setting.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care in both outpatient (95 percent) and inpatient (5 percent) settings
  • Manage a daily patient volume of approximately 16
  • Diagnose, treat, and monitor patients with a variety of hematologic and oncologic conditions
  • Collaborate with ancillary staff, including physician assistants, registered nurses, and nurse practitioners as available
  • Utilize Epic EMR for all patient documentation and care coordination
  • Adhere to best practices and maintain high standards of patient care throughout the assignment

Additional Information
  • Must have experience working in rural settings
  • Board certification in Hematology and Medical Oncology is required
  • California medical license required
  • Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred
