We are seeking a board-certified Hematologist/Oncologist for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in California, beginning Mar 2, 2026. This position features weekday, day-shift hours from 8am to 5pm, with the majority of practice based in the office or clinic setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working in rural environments and be comfortable managing both hematology and oncology cases in a dynamic clinical setting.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient and limited inpatient care, with approximately 95% of practice in the office/clinic and 5% in the hospital
  • Manage a daily patient volume of approximately 16, addressing both hematology (40%) and oncology (60%) cases
  • Deliver high-quality care to individuals with a broad spectrum of hematologic and oncologic conditions
  • Coordinate with ancillary staff as appropriate to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Epic EMR system
  • Adhere to all clinical protocols and quality standards

Additional Information
  • Board certification in both Hematology and Medical Oncology required
  • Must hold or be eligible for a current California medical license
  • Prior experience working in rural healthcare settings preferred
