Job Description

Our client in MO is seeking a Physician - Hematologist/Oncologist to begin a 90-day assignment starting May 1, 2026. This role features a Monday to Friday schedule, with the potential for a half day off during the week, and includes hospital call responsibilities. Key duties involve patient examination, treatment administration, patient monitoring, new patient consults, hospital rounds, and call coverage for primarily medical oncology and hematology patients.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Patients under treatment - patient examination
  • Treatment Administration
  • Supportive Care Plans and symptom management
  • Patient Monitoring
  • New Patient Consults of Hematologic and Oncologic Referrals
  • Patient Communication
  • Coordinating with other healthcare professionals
  • Hospital Rounds
  • Call Coverage (required call response time 15 mins)
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records.


Additional Information

  • Board Certified in Hematology.
  • EMR System: Epic.
  • The patient mix is approximately 40% hematology and 60% medical oncology.
  • Procedures may include consults, follow-ups, and possible bone marrow procedures.
  • Call duties involve beeper consultation, with occasional phone calls and rounds on weekends.
