Job Description

We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician for a 160-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This opportunity begins on Jan 5, 2026, and features a primarily outpatient-based schedule from Monday to Thursday, 8a-5p, and Friday, 8a-12p. The Physician will participate in a light on-call rotation, mainly handling phone and virtual consultations.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide comprehensive care in Hematology and Oncology
  • Handle a small number of hospital consults annually
  • Participate in a 1 in 4 on-call rotation, primarily via phone or virtual
  • Engage with patients and provide follow-up consultations as needed
  • Use Epic EMR system to document and manage patient information

Additional Information
  • Must be board certified in Medical Oncology
  • Required to have recent experience in Hematology/Oncology
  • Must hold a valid North Carolina medical license
  • Certifications needed: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
