Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Hematologist/Oncologist for a 96-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina, starting Apr 6, 2026. This role involves primarily outpatient practice with a 1:3 shared call rotation, complemented by 24-hour nurse triage support. The physician will manage a variety of oncology cases, including Breast, Lung, GI, and GU, with typical shifts running 8a-5p.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage and treat a wide range of oncology cases including Breast Cancer, Lung Cancer, Gastrointestinal (Colorectal) Cancer, and Genitourinary Cancer (including Prostate, Bladder).
  • Participate in tumor boards and cancer committee meetings as interested.
  • Primarily maintain a 98% outpatient practice.
  • Engage in a 2% call rotation, sharing call 1:3 with 24-hour nurse triage support.
  • Shifts are typically 8a-5p.
  • No Leukemia, Bone Marrow Biopsies (BMB), or Bone Marrow Transplants/Stem Cell Transplants (BMT/SCT) are required.
