Locum Tenens Physician - Hematologist/Oncologist Needed in NC

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Hematologist/Oncologist Physician for a 96-day assignment in North Carolina, starting May 4, 2026. This role involves 8a-5p shifts, with a 1:3 shared call rotation. The incoming physician will primarily focus on outpatient oncology, managing a diverse range of cancer cases including breast, lung, gastrointestinal, and genitourinary.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive care for various oncology cases, including Breast Cancer, Lung Cancer, Gastrointestinal (Colorectal) Cancer, and Genitourinary Cancer (including Prostate, Bladder).
• Maintain a primarily outpatient practice, comprising approximately 98% of duties.
• Participate in a 1:3 shared call rotation, supported by 24-hour nurse triage.
• Opportunity for involvement in Tumor Boards and Cancer Committee at UNC Health Blue Ridge.

• Board Certifications required: Hematology and Medical Oncology.
