Job Description

We are seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist Physician for a 36-day assignment with our client in Ohio, starting Mar 9, 2026. This role involves seeing 18-20 adult hematology and oncology patients daily on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 8 AM-5 PM, administering chemotherapy, and managing treatment plans. The position also requires daily infusion coverage from 8 AM-5 PM, weekday call coverage on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 4 PM-8 AM, and one weekend call per month from Friday 4 PM to Monday 8 AM.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • See 18-20 adult hematology/oncology patients daily on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, with the last patient scheduled at 3:30 PM.
  • Administer chemotherapy and create/maintain treatment plans for oncology patients, including writing orders for chemotherapy.
  • Be available for calls from chemotherapy nurses with questions, or to see patients in the infusion center in the event a patient has a negative reaction.
  • Provide daily infusion coverage from 8 AM-5 PM.
  • Handle weekday call coverage for own patients on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, from 4 PM-8 AM, specific to the Marion location.
  • Provide weekend call coverage once per month, from Friday 4 PM to Monday 8 AM, including handoffs, covering both locations.
