Job Description

We are seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Oklahoma starting Mar 30, 2026. This ongoing opportunity offers a Monday to Friday schedule from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with shared call responsibilities alongside group colleagues.

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; call coverage 2-3 days each week; weekend call rotation once every ten weeks; call is after hours, with a nurse on call until 2 a.m. to assist

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Examine and manage patients under treatment, including administration of therapies and supportive care
  • Develop and oversee symptom management and supportive care plans
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as needed
  • Conduct new patient consults for hematologic and oncologic referrals
  • Communicate with patients regarding treatment plans and progress
  • Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals
  • Perform hospital rounds as part of patient care
  • Participate in call coverage as required
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records

Additional Information
  • Board certified or board eligible in Hematology required
  • Must hold an active license in Oklahoma or be eligible via IMLC
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
  • Fellowship training preferred
  • Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days
