Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; call coverage 2-3 days each week; weekend call rotation once every ten weeks; call is after hours, with a nurse on call until 2 a.m. to assist
Responsibilities and Duties
Examine and manage patients under treatment, including administration of therapies and supportive care
Develop and oversee symptom management and supportive care plans
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as needed
Conduct new patient consults for hematologic and oncologic referrals
Communicate with patients regarding treatment plans and progress
Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals
Perform hospital rounds as part of patient care
Participate in call coverage as required
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
Additional Information
Board certified or board eligible in Hematology required
Must hold an active license in Oklahoma or be eligible via IMLC
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
Fellowship training preferred
Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days
