Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner for an 8-day locum tenens assignment in Wisconsin starting in early June covering 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7 AM. This position offers the unique opportunity to work in an acute care setting, primarily in the emergency room, handling 8-10 patients per day with minor cases, and occasionally providing tele-consults for EICU patients with slightly higher acuity.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage 8-10 acute care patients per day with minimal trauma and minor cases.
  • Provide comprehensive patient care in an emergency room setting.
  • Conduct maximum of 1 EICU patient management per day, including tele-consults with a UW physician.
  • Utilize Meditech EHR for documenting patient encounters and managing clinical information.


Additional Information

  • Required to hold an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Must possess an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC).
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license for Wisconsin is essential.
