Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide nocturnist hospitalist coverage at designated hospital sites
- Manage med surg admissions, with acuity ranging from low to high depending on location
- Operate independently at critical access sites with no staff support (3-4 admits/night at high acuity, 1-2 admits/night at low acuity)
- Collaborate with MD and APP support at higher volume trauma locations (10-12 admits/night)
- Utilize multiple EMR systems including Meditech, CPSI, Epic, and Cerner
- Ensure high-quality patient care across varying levels of acuity and resource availability
Additional Information
- Hospitalist experience required
- Must hold an active Illinois license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to independently manage admissions and patient care overnight in both solo and team environments
