We are seeking an experienced Hospitalist Physician Assistant for a 10-day locum tenens assignment in Illinois. This opportunity begins on Nov 9, 2025, and features 12-hour night shifts covering a mix of critical access and trauma facilities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently in med surg settings, managing varying patient acuity, and utilizing multiple EMR systems.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide nocturnist med surg coverage across multiple hospital sites
• Manage admissions and patient care during night shifts, with acuity ranging from low to high
• Operate independently at critical access hospitals without on-site staff support
• Utilize Meditech, CPSI, Epic, and Cerner EMR systems as required by the facility
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers at trauma locations
• Deliver patient-centered care in accordance with hospital protocols and best practices

Additional Information

• Hospitalist experience required
• Must have an active Illinois license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proficiency with Meditech, CPSI, Cerner, and Epic EMRs preferred
• Ability to work solo in critical access environments with limited specialty coverage
