We are currently seeking a qualified Hospitalist Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This role offers the opportunity to work within a comprehensive medical team, delivering high-quality patient care across a variety of specialties including General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Cardiology, Orthopedics, ENT, Primary Care, and Oncology. The selected candidate will manage an average total inpatient census of 17-21 and handle 4-6 admissions during the day and 5-7 at night, without critical care responsibilities. Responsibilities and Duties
Manage an average daily patient load of 8-10
Handle daily admissions ranging from 4-6 during daytime and 5-7 during nighttime
Respond to hospital codes; consult on patient holds in the Emergency Department
Collaborate with a diverse medical staff across various specialties
Ensure comprehensive patient care delivery without critical care duties
Utilize Epic EMR system for patient management
Additional Information
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Must be licensed to practice in North Carolina
Recent hospitalist experience necessary
