We are seeking a skilled Hospitalist Physician for a locum tenens position in Kentucky. This opportunity offers a 64-day assignment starting on 08/18/2025, with 24-hour out-of-house call coverage from 7 AM to 7 AM. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive inpatient care, including morning rounds, responding to calls throughout the day, managing various medical conditions, interpreting stress tests and EKGs, and occasionally handling pediatric consults. The role involves discharging patients, managing transfers, post-operative monitoring, and ICU specialty consults. Comfort with ventilator management is essential. This position requires the ability to respond quickly to call backs and conduct patient follow-ups while staying within range of the facility.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide 24-hour out-of-house call coverage
• Conduct morning rounds on patients
• Respond to calls and provide consults throughout the day
• Manage various medical conditions, including diabetes
• Interpret stress tests and EKGs
• Handle occasional pediatric care and consults
• Manage patient discharges and transfers
• Conduct post-operative monitoring
• Provide specialty consults in the ICU as needed
• Operate and manage ventilators
• Utilize Meditech EHR system for documentation
