Job Description

We are seeking a Hospitalist for a 49-day locum tenens assignment in Kentucky beginning Mar 9, 2026. This opportunity features 24-hour out-of-house call coverage, including rounding and patient follow-up, with scheduled stretches throughout the spring and summer. Physicians should be comfortable managing ventilators and occasionally caring for pediatric and ICU patients in the absence of intensivists.

  • Schedule: 24-hour call coverage (7AM-7AM), with rounding typically in the mornings; assignments include Mar 9-23 (14 days), Apr 13-20 (7 days), May 11-18 (7 days), Jun 8-15 (7 days), and Jun 29-Jul 13 (14 days)

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide 24-hour out-of-house call coverage, responding promptly to patient consults
  • Conduct daily rounding and patient follow-ups
  • Manage adult and occasional pediatric and ICU patients
  • Utilize ventilators as needed
  • Maintain accurate patient records using Meditech EHR

Additional Information
  • Kentucky license required
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine and Hospital Medicine required
  • Minimum of a few years’ experience preferred
  • Must be comfortable with all covered patient populations and clinical scenarios
