Job Description

We are seeking a Hospitalist for a locum tenens assignment in Maine, starting Mar 9, 2026, with a 120-day contract. This role offers a mix of day shifts (7a-7p), with coverage split between a main hospital and a critical access hospital, and a schedule of Monday through Sunday with at least two weeks per month.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide inpatient hospitalist care, splitting coverage between a main hospital and a critical access hospital
  • Manage approximately 15 patients per unit, with 2-4 discharges and admissions per day
  • Perform vent management as required
  • Deliver high-quality clinical care in both large hospital and critical access settings

Additional Information
  • Experience with both large hospitals and critical access hospitals is highly preferred
  • Must have an active Maine medical license
  • Required board certifications: Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
