Job Description

We are seeking a Hospitalist for a locum tenens assignment in Wisconsin covering 63 days, starting Apr 6, 2026. This position offers nocturnist 12-hour night shifts, with a flexible schedule of 7 to 30 shifts per month. The Hospitalist will manage inpatient care, new admissions, and emergencies in a dynamic hospital setting.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care to patients admitted overnight
  • Manage new patient admissions from the Emergency Department or other sources
  • Respond to acute medical issues and emergencies during night shifts
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation in the Epic EHR system
  • Coordinate care with nursing staff, social services, utilization management, and other interdisciplinary teams
  • Work independently with limited ancillary support and specialist availability overnight
  • Admit, follow, and manage all patients in the open ICU (no procedures required)

Additional Information
  • Wisconsin medical license required
  • Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and DEA certification required
  • Experience working independently and strong problem-solving skills preferred
