Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Infectious Disease Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Florida starting Dec 1, 2025. This autonomous role offers a Monday through Friday day shift schedule and focuses on HIV treatment and rapid entry to care initiatives.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Assess clients health status through physical examinations and evaluations
  • Provide treatment and prescribe medications as appropriate
  • Develop, recommend, and document care plans and follow-up care in the electronic health record
  • Refer patients to appropriate healthcare professionals when necessary
  • Write admitting orders and ensure patients receive necessary follow-up care
  • Collaborate closely with medical, front office, and clinic staff to uphold standards of care and service
  • Serve as an advocate for rapid entry to care initiatives for HIV patients
  • Deliver competent and compassionate patient care across various clinical settings

Additional Information
  • Active nurse practitioner license in Florida required
  • Experience in HIV treatment preferred
  • Ability to practice autonomously is preferred
