Locum Tenens Physician - Infectious Disease Needed in CA

Job Description

Our client in California is seeking an Infectious Disease Physician for a 13-day assignment beginning May 30, 2026. This role features 8a-5p shifts, primarily focusing on patient rounding at a main hospital with an average census of 10-20, alongside occasional visits to nearby facilities. The Physician will manage a comprehensive spectrum of infectious disease cases.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Round at the main hospital, managing an average census of 10-20 patients.
• Provide patient care at three additional hospitals within a 20-30 minute radius as needed, typically managing 1-3 patients per facility.
• Manage a comprehensive range of infectious disease cases, including but not limited to Mercer, HIV, Covid, staff infections, shingles, tuberculosis, and Lyme disease.
• Opportunity available to take beeper calls.
