Job Description

We are seeking an Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity commences on Sep 8, 2025, and features day shifts from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a shortened weekday and half-day Saturday shifts. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care in a community medical setting, conforming to established protocols, and engaging in continuous learning.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide comprehensive care to patients within a community medical system.
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of health issues in a primary care setting.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to plan and coordinate care.
  • Perform routine health assessments and screenings.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments in compliance with medical practice guidelines and regulations.
  • Document all patient interactions and treatments in the Epic EMR system.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and continuous improvement efforts.

Additional Information
  • Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in California.
  • Required Board Certification in Internal Medicine.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years post-residency experience, preferably with exposure to underserved populations or chronic care settings.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
