We are seeking a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in Rhode Island. Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide primary medical care to adult patients, ranging from 19 to 70s, in a long-term care setting
- Manage a patient census with a focus on low acuity, including those with dementia, distal muscular dystrophy, and traumatic brain injury
- Conduct routine assessments and ongoing management of chronic and acute medical conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans and support patient needs
- Document patient care thoroughly in compliance with facility protocols and standards
Additional Information
- Rhode Island Nurse Practitioner license required
- Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine required
- Experience with adult patients in post-acute, long-term, or skilled nursing settings is preferred
- No ICU responsibilities
