Responsibilities and Duties

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families about treatment plans and care updates.
• Participate in rounds, team meetings, and communication hand-offs.
• Maintain comprehensive EHR records including patient histories, physicals, and discharge summaries.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards.
• Assist with discharge planning and coordinate post-acute care services.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives.

Additional Information

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited PA program required, Master's preferred.
• Must hold current NCCPA certification and an unrestricted NY state Physician Assistant license.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an inpatient setting, ideally in Internal Medicine or Hospital Medicine.
• Proficiency in Athenahealth EHR systems.
• Strong clinical, diagnostic, and critical thinking skills are essential.
