We are seeking an Internal Medicine Physician in California for a locum tenens position at a Multi-Specialty Clinic. This 60-day assignment begins on 05/26/2025, with a Monday to Friday work schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM. The physician will be responsible for providing adult primary care, managing chronic conditions such as hypertension, COPD, and diabetes, as well as treating common ailments like upper respiratory infections and flu symptoms. The role may involve supervising existing providers if the candidate is an MD. There is also potential for extension.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide comprehensive primary care for adult patients 

• Manage chronic conditions including hypertension, COPD, and diabetes 

• Treat common ailments such as upper respiratory infections, colds, coughs, and flu 

• Conduct physical examinations and health screenings 

• Address care gaps and manage recurrent patient visits 

• Possibly supervise existing providers (if an MD) 

• Ensure proper documentation using Epic EMR system 

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a multi-specialty setting 

• Develop and implement treatment plans for patients 

• Educate patients on preventive care and lifestyle modifications

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in California 

• Comfortable with chronic care and primary care 

• No suturing, splinting, or other urgent care procedures required 

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with patients
