 Experienced Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician needed for a locum tenens assignment in Florida. This 60-day opportunity, starting 06/23/2025, involves working at a hospital providing specialized care for high-risk pregnancies. The schedule includes clinic hours Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with 24-hour call coverage rotating between two locum providers. The role encompasses a high volume of ultrasounds, consultations, and ultrasound reads daily, as well as performing fetal echocardiograms, amniocentesis, and managing complex pregnancy conditions. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with a fast-paced environment and have expertise in various aspects of high-risk obstetrics. This position offers potential for extension and requires an active Florida medical license.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform and interpret 24-30 ultrasounds daily

• Conduct 15-25 consultations per day, including 12 new consultations

• Read and interpret 50-55 ultrasounds daily

• Perform fetal echocardiograms and amniocentesis procedures

• Manage complex pregnancy conditions such as isoimmunization, preeclampsia, and placental abnormalities

• Provide expert consultations for high-risk pregnancies

• Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Epic EMR

• Participate in rotating 24-hour call coverage

• Ensure adherence to all hospital policies and procedures

• Stay current with the latest developments in maternal fetal medicine

Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in Florida

• Board certification in Maternal Fetal Medicine required

• Experience with high-volume ultrasound and consultation practice preferred

• Proficiency with Epic EMR system a plus

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
