Job Description

Our client in Texas is seeking a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Physician for a 4-day assignment starting May 22, 2026. This role involves providing essential hospital call coverage, managing high-risk pregnancies, and performing a variety of obstetric procedures and consultations. The physician will handle approximately 25-30 patient encounters per shift at a Trauma facility, ensuring comprehensive care for complex maternal cases.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide hospital call coverage for Maternal-Fetal Medicine patients.
  • Manage high-risk pregnancies, including conditions such as pregnancy-induced hypertension, HELLP syndrome, and gestational diabetes.
  • Perform various obstetric procedures including VBACs, vaginal breech deliveries, C-sections, instrument-assisted deliveries, and amniocentesis.
  • Conduct and interpret ultrasounds, including Level II/Targeted and fetal echocardiography.
  • Manage complex maternal conditions like cardiac, pulmonary, renal, neurological, autoimmune, hematologic/oncologic, and collagen vascular disorders.
  • Perform cervical cerclage, intrauterine transfusion, and multifetal pregnancy reduction as needed.
  • Handle 25-30 patient encounters per shift, providing expert consultations.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Maternal-Fetal Medicine is required.
  • The facility utilizes the Cerner EMR system.
