Job Description

We are seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in West Virginia, starting Jan 5, 2026. This 84-day opportunity features a 7 on / 7 off schedule with 16-hour overnight shifts from 4pm to 8am, providing care in a NICU environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Deliver advanced neonatal care in a NICU setting
  • Manage and monitor critically ill newborns
  • Perform assessments, develop care plans, and oversee treatment
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Respond to emergencies and provide stabilization as needed
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation
  • Adhere to all clinical protocols and standards


Additional Information

  • Must hold an active West Virginia license
  • Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) board certification required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
  • Experience in Level 3 NICU environments strongly preferred
