Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Neonatology Physician Assistant for a 42-day locum tenens assignment in Pennsylvania starting Mar 1, 2026. This role offers a flexible schedule, including weekday and weekend shifts with both day and overnight hours, supporting a high-acuity NICU. Candidates should be comfortable with a variety of advanced neonatal procedures and adaptable to varying shift needs.

  • Provider Type Needed: Neonatology Physician Assistant
  • Schedule: Weekdays 7am-5pm, 4pm-8am; weekends 7am-7pm, 7pm-7am; 24-hour shifts also available. Ideally at least 7 days per month with flexibility to fill schedule needs. 6-month contract to start.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform intubations, umbilical artery and vein (UA/UV) placements, and PICC placements
  • Conduct lumbar punctures and manage ventilators
  • Provide care for a NICU with medical patients and additional surgical patients
  • Collaborate with the medical and surgical teams to deliver high-quality neonatal care
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in accordance with facility standards


Additional Information

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
  • Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) board certification required
  • Pennsylvania license required
  • Roughly 3-month credentialing process prior to start
