We are seeking a Neonatologist for a 30-day locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity starts on Apr 1, 2026, and involves flexible scheduling with 12-hour inhouse PM shifts. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a NICU and is comfortable with stretches of at least 5 PM shifts in a row.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide medical care for critically ill neonates in an 88-bed Level 4 NICU
  • Perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans for neonatal patients
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Respond to emergencies and perform advanced life support as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records
  • Uphold all hospital policies and clinical protocols


Additional Information

  • At least 3 years of Level 4 NICU experience required
  • Must have California medical license
  • Required certifications: Advanced Life Support (ALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Board certification in Neonatology required
  • Flexible start date based on credentialing
