Job Description

We are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for a locum tenens assignment in Maryland, starting Dec 1, 2025, for a 104-day engagement. This role involves full-time, in-house 24-hour call coverage with eight 24-hour shifts per month. The physician will work with nursery patients and must be proficient in providing neonatal and pediatric inpatient care.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide inpatient care for pediatric and Level II nursery patients
  • Manage admissions, daily rounds, and discharges
  • Respond to emergencies and perform resuscitation as needed
  • Collaborate with nursing and support staff to deliver comprehensive care
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records
  • Adhere to in-house call requirements and schedule


Additional Information

  • Active Maryland medical license required
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
  • Board certification in Neonatology and Pediatric Hospital Medicine required
  • Nursery experience necessary
  • Must complete credentialing process (allow up to 60 days)
