 Barton Associates is seeking an experienced Nephrologist for a locum tenens position at a Hospital in California. This comprehensive opportunity offers coverage starting 07/21/2025, for an initial contract of 120 days, with potential for extension. The assignment involves working Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, primarily in the outpatient clinic setting with some inpatient responsibilities. The ideal candidate will manage both outpatient and inpatient nephrology cases, handling an inpatient load of typically 15-20 patients, with backup support available for higher patient volumes. Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide comprehensive nephrology care in both outpatient and inpatient settings
• Manage a diverse range of nephrology cases
• Handle inpatient rounds for approximately 15-20 patients daily
• Collaborate with backup call support when patient load exceeds 25
• Work closely with in-house IR, general, and vascular surgery teams
• Conduct patient consultations and follow-ups in the outpatient clinic
• Develop and implement treatment plans for kidney-related disorders
• Interpret laboratory results and diagnostic tests
• Perform procedures such as kidney biopsies when necessary
• Coordinate care with other specialists and healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records using Epic EHR system
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and care conferences
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in nephrology

Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in California
• Board certification in Nephrology required
• Experience in both outpatient and inpatient nephrology preferred
• Familiarity with Epic EHR system is advantageous
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
• Ability to work efficiently in both clinic and hospital settings
