Schedule: 8:30am–5:30pm Monday–Friday; 8:30am–5:30pm Saturday and Sunday (one to two weekends per month, depending on availability); at least two weeks per month (last two weeks of every month); week one: Monday–Friday, week two: Monday–Sunday
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide comprehensive nephrology care in the outpatient clinic, covering cases such as CKD, hypertension, and glomerular diseases
Perform consultative inpatient nephrology duties with hospitalists as primary on all inpatients
Manage inpatient call for approximately 15–20 patients, with back-up support for higher volumes
Collaborate with interventional radiology, general, and vascular surgery teams for patient management
Conduct monthly rounds on a dialysis patient population of approximately 75, in coordination with dialysis vendors
Oversee and support CKD population management with dedicated nursing support
Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and care coordination
Additional Information
Must be licensed to practice medicine in California
Board certification in Nephrology required
Comfortable managing all outpatient nephrology cases
High chance of extension beyond the initial assignment period
