A Hospital in New York is seeking a skilled Nephrologist for a locum tenens assignment through Barton Associates. This 14-day opportunity begins on July 12, 2025, with additional coverage needed in August and potential for recurring assignments. The schedule includes clinic hours from 8 AM to 4 PM Monday through Friday, with 24-hour call coverage including weekends. The initial assignment runs from July 12 at 7 AM to July 18 at 7 PM, with a 7-14 day stretch required in August as well.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

- Provide nephrology care in both clinic and hospital settings

- Manage in-house dialysis Monday through Saturday

- Write dialysis orders and manage medication refills

- Handle consults in clinic and round on dialysis patients

- Provide 24-hour call coverage, including weekends

- Respond to overnight calls (minimal, mainly fielding admission questions)

- Collaborate with other nephrologists and hospital staff

- Utilize Allscripts EMR for patient management and record-keeping

- Adapt to the facility's workflow and procedures

- Maintain a high standard of patient care

Additional Information:

- Experience in both clinical and hospital nephrology required

- Comfort with 24-hour call coverage, including weekends
