Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner for a 90-day locum tenens assignment in Michigan, starting Nov 3, 2025. This full-time opportunity offers 4-5 days per week with day shifts (7a-3:30p or 7a-5:30p), working in a trauma center and covering a broad range of neurosurgical cases.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist in a wide range of neurosurgical procedures, including cranial and spinal surgeries
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as neurologists, neurointerventional radiologists, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Interpret diagnostic imaging studies, including MRIs, CT scans, and angiograms to support diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Provide consultations, assessments, and follow-up care for patients in both outpatient clinics and inpatient settings


Additional Information

  • Board certification required (American Association of Nurse Practitioners)
  • Active Michigan license required
  • Minimum two years of experience as a Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner
  • Neurosurgery OR experience required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
