We are seeking an experienced Surgery - Neurological Nurse Practitioner for a 56-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This opportunity begins Jan 12, 2026, and features a 7 on, 7 off block schedule with alternating day and night 12-hour shifts. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience and hold the Acute Care Clinical Nurse Specialist - Adult Gerontology (ACCNS-AG) certification. Familiarity with Epic EMR is required.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide advanced care for neurological surgical patients in collaboration with physicians and the healthcare team
• Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans specific to neurological surgery cases
• Assist in the management of pre- and post-operative neurosurgical patients
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as needed
• Document all patient interactions and care provided in Epic EMR
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members
• Ensure compliance with all clinical protocols and safety standards

Additional Information

• Minimum 2 years experience required
• North Carolina licensure required
• Must hold Acute Care Clinical Nurse Specialist - Adult Gerontology (ACCNS-AG) certification
• Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred
