Provider Type Needed: Physician Assistant specializing in Neurological Surgery
Schedule: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours per shift (7 AM - 5 PM) Rotating days, nights, and weekends. Example rotation: 1-2 weeks day shift, followed by 1-2 weeks night shifts
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Perform in-house consults for floor and ER patients
• Serve as first assist in cranial and spine neurosurgery procedures
• Handle stroke consults
• Assist in endovascular procedures
• Manage pre- and post-operative care for neurosurgical patients
• Conduct patient examinations and develop treatment plans
• Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies
• Collaborate with neurosurgeons and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
Additional Information:
• Connecticut medical license required for this position
• Strong experience in neurological surgery is essential
• Comfort with rotating shift schedules, including nights and weekends
• Proficiency in both cranial and spinal neurosurgical procedures
