Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Neurological Surgery Physician Assistant for a 63-day locum tenens assignment in Virginia, starting Nov 24, 2025. This opportunity features a 7 on / 7 off night shift rotation (7pm-7am), providing pre-op and post-op rounding support for neurosurgery patients across two hospital locations.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Perform pre-operative and post-operative rounding for neurosurgery patients
  • Provide comprehensive patient assessments and monitor progress
  • Collaborate closely with neurosurgeons and interdisciplinary teams
  • Document patient care and clinical findings thoroughly
  • Flexibly work across two hospital sites as assigned

Additional Information
  • Active Virginia Physician Assistant license required
  • Must have strong experience with neurosurgery patients
  • Prefer candidates with experience using Epic EMR
  • Board certification in Neurological Surgery required
  • Must be comfortable with a 7 on / 7 off night shift schedule
  • No operating room duties
