We are seeking a board-certified Neurosurgeon for a 14-day locum tenens assignment in Illinois starting Jan 5, 2026. This opportunity features 24-hour call shifts with responsibilities including call coverage, rounding, and post-op follow-up for head and spine cases at a trauma facility.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide call coverage for head and spine cases, including consults, operations, and procedures from ED and inpatient requests
  • Manage trauma cases at a facility
  • Round on service patients each morning (4-10 patients)
  • Conduct post-operative follow-up in the outpatient clinic
  • Perform bread and butter neurosurgical procedures involving head and spine


Additional Information

  • Board certification in Neurological Surgery required
  • Illinois state medical license required
  • Temporary credentials available to facilitate January start
  • 30-minute response time required during call shifts
